There is also nothing worse than the smell of spices from last nights dinner drifting through the house either, so be careful of using strong smelling cooking ingredients during the time your home is listed for sale. The smell of home baked bread, cookies or cake is always great but can also be looked at as trying to cover other smells so I personally do not think that is a great idea either. Also, the use of fragrant candles is not a good idea as again it can be and has been used to cover odours and may be seen as just that.
1. The Entrance Way - first impressions are made walking into that front entrance so think of what people first see when coming into your entrance way. It must be clean, the floors should not be scratched or worn carpets laid down and no dead plants hanging around in pots? Is should be bright and airy looking and the walls nicely painted in a light color?
4. Dining Room - should not have the childrens homework spread across the table or a puzzle being put together on it. It should look like a place where formal entertaining takes place. Drapes should be cleaned and match the dinning room wall coverings or paint.
